**About the Role**
Based in **Macquarie Park**, this role will support our **Sales**team with upcoming new brand**.**On offer is an Area Sales Manager position and your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:
- Develop and implement sales plans to meet or exceed revenue goals for the region.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base in alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Train, motivate, and manage dealers’ sales team to achieve BYD’s regional sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and set development plans for the dealers’ sales team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including dealerships and distributors.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional strategies tailored to regional needs.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations within the assigned region, including sales forecasting, and inventory management.
- Ensure timely reporting of sales results and market insights to senior management.
- Identify and assess opportunities for market expansion, product positioning, and brand awareness within the region.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's market presence.
**Key requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience working in a similar roles in a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of success in strategic sales.
- Strong background in the automotive industry, particularly with electric vehicles.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships within a dealer network and execute successful sales strategies.
- Possesses commercial acumen and strong leadership capability
- Proficient communication with internal & external stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in business or a related discipline.
- Willingness to travel for business purpose
