BSBL Test Analyst - Fixed Term - Full Time
The Early Childhood Education Group (ECE) plays a key role in operational policy development, service program design and commissioning to ensure a child and family-centred outcomes-focused integrated system. ECE oversees and works with partners to support the funded kindergarten sector, regulates early childhood education and care services, and implements relevant legislative reforms to create a comprehensive, integrated, and equitable system.ECE has lead responsibility for the educational components of the Early Childhood Reform Plan and the transition to Pre-Prep (universal 30-hour per week play-based learning), expansion of the three-year-old kindergarten program, and Free Kinder.
ECE Group is also responsible for the implementation of the Victorian Child Information Sharing Reforms enabling the access to and sharing of information between authorised organisations to improve the well-being and safety of children. ECE works closely with partners in other groups in the Department, the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority, the Department of Health, the Department of Fairness, Families and Housing, Municipal Association of Victoria, various statutory authorities, Local Governments and service delivery partners, parents, and families.
The KIMS solution comprises multiple components that require individual testing and end-to-end testing. The Test Analyst will need to work closely with technical and business Subject Matter Experts to gain a detailed understanding of the business requirements, solution design and architecture and data models, including all attributes, reference data and associated metadata.
They will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project principles and practices with a tailored Agile development approach to fit large, complex, business-critical projects with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.As the Test Analyst you will be required to:

- Build Integration and Functional test cases from business and technical requirements along with design & interface documents* Development of automated/manual test cases for System Integration Testing* Ability to identify data requirements (data mining and/or building test data)* Execution of test cases and reporting of progress* Defect capturing, prioritising, following up resolution and retesting defects

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

**Essential**:

- 5+ years experience in testing* Experience in building and executing test cases from complex business requirements & technical interface design & mapping documentation* Data Migration & Integration Project experience - experience writing and executing complex database SQL queries and have proficiency with data migration (ETL) testing* Experience in providing input into, and analysis of, user stories* Ensure acceptance criteria are defined and test.able* Demonstrated ability to execute System Integration test scripts that identify and confirm resolution of defects prior to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)* Experience with Salesforce Solutions* Providing input into Test Plans and Test Summary Report* Raising defects arising from the test planning and test execution phase* Confluence, Jira and Xray test plugin experience* Experience with data-driven testing* Teamwork, collaboration and ability to work in both Agile & waterfall environments* Attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The Victorian Child Information Sharing and Early Childhood Systems Division is made up of a number of branches and teams, which work collaboratively together to achieve the Whole of Victorian Government and Divisional goals.
