**The Client**:
Our client for this position is a major Australian financial-services organisation. They currently have a requirement for a Test Analyst with experience on OpenText or Content Management projects to join their Records & Document Management team, the role is initially a 6-month contract with the view of future extensions.

**The Role**:
The purpose and unique contribution of your role is to analyse proposed solutions, implement solutions, solve complex problems and to provide test leadership to assure the quality of the solutions being built. To perform this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Iteration Managers, Analysts and Developers, as well as other members of the platform and project teams, such as Architects, Environment Management, Release Management and key business stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:
**Test Planning and Documentation**
- Operationalise testing strategies to deliver the desired test outcomes for the team, and document them to the appropriate level of detail.
- Responsible for developing ways of working and test engagement practices in collaboration with members of your own team as well as with various stakeholder groups, and document these.
- Provide direction and supervision for larger pieces of work (projects) or multiple pieces of work in terms of testing.

**Test Delivery**
- Participate in inception and estimation sessions to - develop cost and effort estimates on the proposed solution and testing effort including implementation and costs of operation, or support team estimate processes.
- Create new automated tests for test data creation, in-sprint automated testing of new functionality, automated shakeout testing of the continuous integration pipeline, and robust automated regression testing.
- Continue to expand and create the platform test automation framework and test assets.
- Problem solve daily issues for the team leading to a continuose improvement cycle.
- Communicate and report on testing activities to senior internal and external stakeholders.

**Methods and Practices**
- Create and deploy standards, methods and procedures for the organisation
- Ensure testing activities are carried out in accordance with the above.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of work practices and the quality of the systems.

**Team Contribution and Leadership**
- Provide mentoring to other test analysts as required, under the direction of the manager.
- Contribute to the quality and completeness of platform's test assets and other artefacts.

**Required Skills & Specialisms**:

- Experience in planning, coordinating and reporting on test efforts for projects.
- Expertise in the use of a BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) framework based on Cucumber
- Experience in using automation tools such as Selenium and Capybara for UI interfaces, Mongoid for data handling, contract testing, etc.
- Programming expertise in Ruby and Java
- Experience in use of databases - RDBMS as well as NoSQL databases such as Mongo.
- Experience in the financial-services industry
- Documenting process flows
- Ability to coach and mentor team members and foster an engaged team environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
