Exciting contract opportunity for a Test Analyst with the Victorian State Government Department

**Your new company**

You will be joining a state government organisation that is responsible for delivering essential services to the public. This organisation is undergoing a digital transformation and is looking for a Test Analyst to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.

**Your new role**

As a Test Analyst, you will work collaboratively within technology delivery teams, to provide end-to-end automation testing and be responsible for high quality development and execution of testing.

You will be responsible for verifying and validating developed solutions and/or products meets acceptance criteria and quality including: functionality, reliability and usability.

and play an important role in continuous improvement of the practice and supports the practice manager in delivering advanced capabilities across the Testing and QA unit.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

- Understand and Analyse business and functional requirements and architectural specification to be used to establish test conditions, scenarios and design test cases
- Develop, write, document and execute automation testing
- Design, write, document and execute test plans and execute automated testing
- Identify defects in a timely manner, document defects utilising test management tools, chase up defects resolutions
- Actively participate in Agile delivery processes including planning, deliver on sprint backlog, attendance at stands-up, showcase and retrospective
- Participate and actively influence technical discussions relating to software development

**What you’ll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- A passion for Innovation, Agile and delivering exceptional quality outcomes considering business and customer experiences
- Proven experience utilising automated testing disciplines
- Proven experience analysing business and functional requirements and translating them to executable test cases and test plans
- Ability to influence discussions and decisions with an impact on quality
- Passionate about testing and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Desirable knowledge and experience with:

- Atlassian suite of products (JIRA and Confluence)
- HP ALM, Xray
- Selenium / TOSCA
