**About the Role**

We are looking for a motivated Case Worker/Practitioner to join our team at Mercy Community as an Intensive Foster and Kinship Care Practitioner. This role is responsible for the provision of High-Plus support for children and young people in Foster & Kinship Care within the Greater Ipswich area. This Permanent full-time position is based in our Ipswich office.

The Intensive Foster and Kinship Care Practitioner is responsible for ensuring high quality care and support for children and young people in out of home care with their carers/families. This position will be required to undertake intervention planning for children/young people and carers which is needs-based, trauma sensitive and relationship/attachment focused in order to assist them to reach their full potential.

**To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria)**:

- 3-year degree within Human Services Sector and at least 2 years’ previous relevant experience, or 4-year degree with at least 1 year’s previous relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in positive behaviour management strategies and support.
- Experience in providing case work/assessment services to children and families within a child protection framework.
- Have experience in child and carers’ intervention plans based on assessments within a structured assessment framework.
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- You must hold a current Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License and a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and be able to obtain a positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.

This position offers a competitive salary of $77,578 to $83,486 plus Superannuation (dependent on qualifications and experience).
