Job Description

The role of NDIS Support Coordinator is a professional position that involves delivering high-quality, person-centered support coordination to individuals with disabilities.

This hands-on role focuses on working directly with participants to implement their plans, coordinate supports, and ensure services align with each individual's goals and preferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement NDIS plans, supporting individuals to achieve their goals and exercise choice and control.
  • Assist individuals in managing their plan budgets, including interpreting service categories and tracking utilisation.
  • Navigate legislative reporting obligations and ensure compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
  • Engage with complex cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and community service providers.
  • Support individuals with legal matters, such as QCAT cases.
  • Engage with government agencies, like the Office of the Public Guardian and the Public Trustee Queensland, in relation to participant decision-making, financial management, or legal matters.
  • Advocate for individual rights and promote supported decision-making and the dignity of risk.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, participant files, and progress reports in line with legislative and organisational standards.
  • Utilise software systems to record and manage participant data efficiently and accurately.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2-4 years' experience in NDIS Support Coordination service delivery.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Social Work, or related field (determines wage level under SCHADS Award).
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, participant budget management, and service coordination requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including those involved with statutory bodies.
  • Understanding of legislation related to QCAT.
  • Experience engaging with government agencies in relation to participant decision-making, financial management, or legal matters.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Competent in the use of software systems for client and case management.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently while maintaining service quality.

  • Current Queensland Driver's License.
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and Disability Worker Screening - Yellow Card Exemption (or ability to obtain).
  • National Police Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Copy of Qualifications.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
