**In this role, you'll**:
Oversee the below.
- Review and amendment of TfNSW standards including technical guides and test methods to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness in line with technology advancements and industry trends.
- Training relevant to construction materials testing, as required.
- Identifying areas of continuous improvement and implementation of innovative solutions to resolve issues relating to data anomalies and risks where appropriate.
- Performing regular integrated audits for construction materials testing on TfNSW projects and ensuring effective close out of non-conformances identified.
- Organising proficiency programs to enable uniform and adequate standards of testing expected on TfNSW projects.

Key Challenges:

- Identifying technical risk and non-conformances in construction industry laboratories while managing the audit process in a professional and confidential matter.
- Ensuring correct testing, investigation procedures and standards are followed for example Australian Standards, TfNSW standards and/or other international standards.
- Troubleshooting technical issues associated with construction materials and testing, supporting TfNSW project teams.

Role is based in Paramatta. It involves frequent travel. This is a permanent full time role. Role description.

**About you**

You will have:

- A minimum of a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, Auditing, Quality Systems, or relevant qualifications from an Australian tertiary institution or equivalent.
- A valid Australian motor vehicle driver license is required.
- The role requires security and criminal clearance prior to appointment.
- Any background in auditing and extensive experience in soil testing and earthworks would be advantageous
