**YOUR role...**
Our new Town Planner will have post-graduate experience in Town Planning and Development Consulting and will actively engage in collaborative efforts alongside our in-house project management team. You will receive project management experience and have the ability to see a project through all stages, from inception through to completion generally in the following capacity:
- Due diligence and pre-acquisition advice to the private sector;
- Infrastructure charging advices and negotiation;
- Expert witness to the Queensland Planning & Environment Court and Land Court of Queensland;
- Resumption management and planning advices for the purpose of valuation and compensation;
- Master-planned communities and large-scale commercial and industrial development;
- Strategic and Statutory advices to Public Sector; and
- Peer review roles.
**What you will bring;**
- have graduated from a relevant Town Planning degree;
- have experience in managing client files and all aspects of the development assessment process;
- building rapport and extended networks within the development industry and actively seeking business development oppurtunities.
- have a proficient understanding of Queensland planning legislation framework (experience in New South Wales is encouraged but not required);
- have an ability to build rapport with clients, consultants and statutory authorities;
- have the ability to negotiate successful outcomes with statutory authorities;
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong time management skills;
- be able to work independently and as a member of a team;
- hold Australian Citizenship
- be willing to undertake business development
- take on responsibility for a project and be client facing; and
- have a current open driver's license.
It would also be beneficial if you have experience in urban design and/or ArcGIS.
