- Assist in driving the Health & Safety culture at the largest bakery in the Southern Hemisphere

Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor supports the Health, Safety and Environment function across our Chullora site. The role partners closely with the site leadership teams and other key stakeholders to influence and implement site specific HSE initiatives.
Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of the role of the HSE Advisor is to provide technical and practical HSE advice and maintain a safety culture focused on risk management reduction programs to continually improve workplace safety, health and wellbeing.
- Building trusting relationships with site leaders and key stakeholders through initiating conversations about safety impacts and best practice
- Support the development of training materials and documentation
- Developing the leaders' HSE capability by partnering, coaching, and supporting them in the management of their people safety culture, risk reduction programs, and ensuring the leaders understand and manage compliance with all HSE legislation
- Support the HSE Business Partner and Operations teams to prepare for internal audits
- Ensuring processes and standards are built consistently and high levels of system integrity are achieved through regular auditing
- Ensuring all HSE State Regulations are complied with, process reviews and continuous improvement activities
- Injury Management - Investigate incidents and patterns identified as appropriate and oversee the effective implementation of the program

About You
- Minimum 2+ years experience in a HSE role within a site based or high-risk capacity
- Food manufacturing/FMCG industry experience will be highly regarded
- Diploma or degree in Health and Safety, Allied Health, Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Sciences preferred
- Exceptional communications skills with experience of engaging effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
- The ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment with a high level of resilience
