**OVERVIEW**:
Seeking a motivated and experienced Risk and Compliance Line 1 Manager within the Financial Services industry.

In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the organisation's risk and compliance capabilities across the Financial Markets division.

If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for risk management and compliance, this is an excellent opportunity for you to make a significant impact in a dynamic organisation.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Collaborate with SMEs within the Financial Markets team to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Take charge of maintaining a centralised register of identified risks and issues.
- Facilitate risk workshops with business representatives, ensuring that risk identification remains, and current controls are effective.
- Provide objective and balanced advice on risks and compliance issues related to proposed business strategies and plans.
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure timely and accurate submissions. Additionally, you will review and address material breaches to maintain compliance.
- Collaborate closely with risk and compliance colleagues to continuously improve the control testing methodology, enhancing the ability to identify and address potential risks.
- Assist in the implementation and evolution of our operational risk management framework across the Markets division. This will involve developing and maintaining risk management processes, as well as contributing to the enhancement of governance, risk, and compliance tools.
- Document findings and deliver assurance opinions based on your assessments.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and cohesive working environment.
- Support the preparation of reports for the Board, regulatory bodies, and internal meetings.

**IDEAL SKILLS**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Risk Management, Compliance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Background in a complex Financial Services organisation or consulting experience in either Line 1 or Line 2 will be highly regarded.
- Sound understanding of controls.
- Strong understanding of risk management and compliance principles, practices, and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address potential risks and issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and present information clearly.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
