PERSOLKELLY are in partnership with our client based in Erskine Park or Chipping Norton looking for an experienced Injury Management Specialist, that manufactures and distributes high-quality building materials across all industries across Australia.
Due to expansion, the team are now looking for an experienced Injury Management Specialist to report directly to the National Safety Manager and be a vital addition to their clients and customers.
**About the role**
Based out of our site in either Chipping Norton or Erskine Park, The Injury Management Case Specialist is responsible for providing specialised WHS operational services with a specific focus on work related injury management and workers compensation to ensure cases are managed appropriately. You will have the opportunity to support our injured employees on safe and durable return to work programs. In addition, you willprovide guidance and support to our line managers and business partners in effective management of non-work-related injuries. You will use your skills and knowledge to implement initiatives and programs which will have a positive impact on the physical and psychological injury elements.
**Your responsibilities include but aren't limited to**:
- Coordinate Workers Compensation services, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and facilitating a safe return to work.
- Provide return-to-work assessments and training for injured workers as part of the clearance process.
- Act as the employer representative in workers' compensation claim disputes and prepare claim responses.
- Collaborate with Workcover lawyers in Common Law Disputes to reduce payments.
- Investigate injuries and provide advice on potential disciplinary issues or denials of Workcover claims
**Essential Requirements for the role**:
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills - experience with TMS highly regarded
- Highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a very high-pressure environment
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Certificate IV in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge, and industry experience,
- Advanced Return to Work Coordinator course
- RTW certificate - In line with SafeWork NSW
- Knowledge of Safe Work NSW legislation in the eastern states
