**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Student Success Coach to join Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.

The primary purpose of the Student Success Coach is to work collaboratively with students and staff to provide holistic and timely support services and programs that meet the transition, progression, and academic needs of students. The position works in close partnership with the Career, STEM and Language and Learning Educators, and contributes to the support of all Student Success Group objectives as required.

**About the Academic Division**
The Academic Division is responsible for supporting and delivering learning, teaching, research and research services to students and staff. This is realised via the Education and Research portfolios and through the work of our Faculties.

The Head of the Academic Division is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic), Professor Robina Xavier. Professor Xavier provides strategic oversight and financial management of the Division and provides leadership to the Education portfolio.

The Division’s Research portfolio and academic faculties are led by the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research), Professor Christopher Barner-Kowollik.

The Student Success Group (SSG) works in partnership with Faculties, HiQ, Equity and Student Counselling, and other learning and personal support providers across the University (International Student Services, Student Engagement, Widening Participation, Student Business Services). The SSG aims to provide access to the highest quality of support for learning and careers and engagement services and strategies to empower students with the tools, connections, and mindsets to achieve their full academic potential and to design their real world futures.

To thrive in this role, you will be proactive and dependable, with a desire to make a positive impact on the experience of our students.

You will demonstrate:

- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree or professional qualification with subsequent relevant experience in a field related to student engagement and success.
- Previous experience in a student-facing role using innovative pedagogical theory and practice in one or more areas such as: student advising, support service delivery, coaching, and/or mentoring services.
