Student Engagement Specialist Role Summary:

The role of the Student Engagement Specialist is to drive student engagement and attendance at a state school. Key responsibilities include generating daily reports on absenteeism, advising parents and teachers, and documenting relevant information.

Key tasks also involve collecting and coordinating data on student engagement, following up with chronically absent students, and providing information to teachers and school leaders. The specialist will also maintain a database of students with issues impacting attendance, monitor attendance to identify barriers to learning, and develop relationships between the school and families of persistently absent students.

Additional duties include providing administrative support, including assistance at the student counter and managing timetables.

When working in regulated employment, an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance issued by Blue Card Services.

Requirements:
