Your work would also include opportunities to undertake project site visits and meet with regional communities across Australia.
Your work will include undertaking research and analysis on current legislative, regulatory and industry requirements, helping the Commissioner to contribute to external policy development processes, as well as ongoing liaison and partnerships with a range of stakeholders to identify emerging issues and formulate practical solutions. The role has operational responsibility for ensuring the AEIC’s website and communication products are effective, with a clear focus on ensuring people with questions and concerns about renewable energy projects and new transmission infrastructure can easily access credible information and pursue practical outcomes.
**What we are looking for**

- Strong policy research and stakeholder engagement skills to gather and investigate credible information from diverse sources, undertake systematic analysis and generate practical recommendations and related communication activities
- an ability to work productively, flexibly and collaboratively as part of a small team in a dynamic external environment
- Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to develop project and product workplans, manage multiple demands, and prioritise work accordingly
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience supervising workflows and direct reports (where relevant) while contributing to the Office’s operational effectiveness.

Qualifications relevant to the work of the AEIC, including public policy, community engagement and/or public communications, would be highly regarded.
**Eligibility and other requirements**
**Citizenship** -** To be eligible for employment with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water you must be an Australian citizen.
