We are seeking full-time **Purchasing Office**r to join our expanding team.

**WORKING HOURS**
- 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- 7am - 3.30pm

Pacific Hoseflex is recognized as an industry leader in engineering fluid transfer products. Pacific Hoseflex is a third generation Australian owned and operated business. We supply hoses to the CS Gas companies here in Queensland, as well as Space, Defence, Food and Beverage and many companies around the world.

We are a Digitalised business that invests back into technology and have 3 CNC computerised laths, 4 manual lathes, 6 welding bay facilities, digital crimpers for making PTFE hose, rubber hoses, code hoses, we have a dedicated in-house pressure testing department with the capabilities of producing pressure graphs and certificates.

**THE ROLE**

Liaise with company suppliers, including product suppliers, shipping, freight, and courier services.

Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best price, required delivery times are met, monitor stock levels, approve purchase invoices, and report on purchases, costs of goods and supply costs across the organisation.

The role requires you to use a fully customised web based ERP system along with freight portals and Xero.

Opportunities exist to be trained in other areas of the business and we welcome people experienced in warehousing and distribution to apply.

**YOU**

To be successful for your new role you will ideally meet the following criteria:

- Current HR (Forklift) Licence
- Excellent telephone/communication skills
- Must be reliable
- Confidence to negotiate purchases and resolve supply issues
- Demonstrated experience in an inventory and/or purchasing role
- Experience working within ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Initiative and ability to follow instructions
- Ensure production waste streams are used correctly
- Commitment to meet deadlines
- Willingness to follow policies and procedures
- Be reliable and demonstrate good work ethics
- A positive attitude to workplace health and safety
- Make a positive environmental impact on the business

**DESIRABLE**
- Certificate III in Transport & Logistics (Warehousing) or Certificate IV in Purchasing
- Proven work experience in a similar industry

**In addition,** you will be required to learn and perform other related tasks to develop product knowledge and to accommodate workloads.

This is a full time position with annual leave, loading and entitlements.
Hours of work are **0700 to 1530** (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday. Wages will be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications.
