The Opportunity

You will be responsible for gaining a robust understanding of Group, Brand and Category strategy and vision, then providing expert knowledge on Fabrics and Leathers to support the attainment of the strategy and vision.

What does the role involve?
- Lead, manage & coach the team
- Influence and inspire quality and success
- Lead the team by example, to positively contribute to a pleasant, collaborative and productive working environment
- Build strategic relationships with external Fabric and Leather vendors internationally, and collaborate with them to drive Fabric and Leather quality and innovation across the Group.
- Support Product Technicians by providing coaching and guidance to develop skills and capability.
- Partner with Brand teams to deliver commercial outcomes from designs and ensure intake margin targets are met for apparel products.
- Manage all areas of responsibility in line with company policies and procedures.
- Deliver results and make a positive impact on the brand and people.

Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor of Fashion/Textiles or equivalent tertiary design qualification
- Understanding of garment grading and sizing
- Understanding of patternmaking
- Understanding of Fabric and Leather vendors internationally and their specific areas of expertise and innovation
- Solid commercial acumen, able to provide advice to Brand & S&SC colleagues that finds Fabric and Leather solutions in line with commercial targets for Brand, Category or particular garment
- Attention to detail in both workmanship and overall quality of a garment.
