**About BHP South Flank**

Located approximately 130km north-west of Newman, South Flank together with Mining Area C will become one of the largest iron ore hubs in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore. South Flank will help to maximise the volume and quality of BHP’s iron ore production, which is essential for the world’s steel.

**About the Role**

We are recruiting industry-experienced Mechanical Fitters for permanent opportunities at South Flank. This opportunity will be offered on an 8 days on / 6 days off / 7 nights on / 7 days off roster and you will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor within the Fixed Plant team.

Key responsibilities and experiences are;
- Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of the processing plant
- Ensuring clear communication across team members and to the Supervisor in regards to downtime and trouble areas;
- Following specific maintenance strategies and procedures;
- Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development;
- Ensuring that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed;
- Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes.

**About You**
- Trade Certificate relevant to your skillset is required - Mechanical Fitter
- Experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance
- Highly safety focused
- Dedicated and enthusiastic
- Keen to learn with a willingness for self-improvement
- Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
