8+ yrs experience as a quota carrying technology field sales individual, or business development professional - Experience in selling products and services into new markets - Experience coordinating multiple members of the sales team dedicated to a particular account or program, such as Inside Sales, Solution Architects, Technical Account Managers etc. - Excellent presentation and communication skills - Experience preferably in information technology, with a focus on cloud solutions - History of exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions based approach.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of account managers.
- Develop and execute a short, medium and long term business plan.
- Meet and exceed individual and team targets.
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, in helping to define and deliver AWS’ overall strategy.
- Accelerate customer adoption by identifying specific customer segments and industry verticals in the region to approach with a value proposition for using AWS.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts at the C-level.
- Work closely with the Partner team to ensure that AWS is the partner's preferred cloud computing platform across all service lines.
- Maintain an accurate forecast and various business reports.
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
- Possess the technical understanding to explain (not implement) Cloud Computing, infrastructure solutions (Server, Storage, DC Services) & Internet architectures (firewalls, load balancers, etc).
- Prepare and give business strategies and reviews to the senior management team.
A day in the life
This role requires you to work actively to earn and keep customer trust and build a deep understanding of how to meet the needs [met and unmet] of your customers, and their end customers. You will work with and orchestrate engagement with AWS stakeholders [Executives, Business Development, Solution Architects, Professional Services, industry SMEs] and Partners to compel customers to move to, and innovate on the Cloud.
