Roadwork Coordinator Permits

**About the Team**:
Network Operations is a branch in Transport Services Group within Department of Transport, and is responsible to deliver transport operations across all modes that provides a single user interface to the transport network.

**About the Role**:
**Position Outcomes**:

- Provide expert traffic and transport management advice for roadworks, keeping within established traffic engineering practice, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Applied problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues, and provided expert knowledge, advice and support as required to deliver projects with reduced disruptions impacts.
- Exercise professional judgement to undertake complex site impact analysis.
- Use negotiation and influencing skills to formulate options and reach successful outcomes for customers while mitigating risk and reducing any negative impacts on the safe and efficient operation of the road network.

Knowledge and Skills
- Critical thinker and problem solver focussed on delivering designated tasks within tight time frames.
- Strong stakeholder management focus and communication skills

Qualifications and Experience
Desirable
- Experience in traffic management is desirable but not required
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Civil/Transport engineering or relevant experience desirable
