- Salary $98,436.00 + 12% Superannuation
- Based at the Depot, Doncaster East
Key responsibilities include leading a high performing team delivering timely, compliant infrastructure permits and asset protection, championing process innovation and service improvements across civil works and public asset approvals, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to balance growth, safety, and community outcomes.
About the Role
The Team Leader Infrastructure Permits will provide leadership and coordination of a dedicated team responsible for assessing, issuing, and managing permits for works effecting infrastructure across the municipality.
This role ensures that public assets are protected, community impacts are minimised, and works are delivered safely and compliantly. The position plays a pivotal role in streamlining permit processes, monitoring team performance, and driving service improvements.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated leadership in managing infrastructure permit processes, including supervision of staff and coordination of complex civil works approvals
- Extensive knowledge of public asset protection, road management legislation, and civil construction standards, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, utilities, internal departments, and community stakeholders to facilitate safe and compliant works
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with experience resolving regulatory issues under tight timeframes
- Commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence, including the development of streamlined workflows, digital systems, and team capability
