**Duties**
- Facilitate the day-to-day operations of the VAN offices located at Maroochydore, Broadbeach and the co-located sites Robina and Tweed Heads.
- Ensure team members are delivering professional and accurate responses to client enquiries and requests via 1800VETERAN or face-to-face.
- Work with the team to achieve KPIs and ensure the delivery of services in line with the nationally consistent standards.
- Coach, support and mentor team members; identify training needs and develop the necessary focus on areas of required development.
- In collaboration with the VAN manager, monitor staff performance through the Performance Feedback Scheme.
- Actively participate in team meetings to ensure the team have a clear understanding of VAN objectives, issues and operational changes.
- Develop a cohesive and positive working relationship within the team to ensure service delivery aligns with national service standards.
- Provide a senior point of escalation for cases, research and provide advice on the interpretation of legislation and policy.
- Provide feedback to the Client Contact Performance Team to inform the systems, processes and standards that guide team members in formulating responses to clients.
- Work with the Client Contact Performance Team in relation to changes and communicate changes in policy/procedures, ensuring staff have the knowledge and skills to implement the changes.
- Deliver recruitment activities to maintain staffing levels.
- Assume responsibility for sensitive or contentious veteran enquiries.
- Recording communications with clients and escalating any information received that requires further action to the appropriate business area.
- Develop a learning environment and culture aimed at best practice in service delivery.
