**Procurement/Purchasing Officer - Cheltenham**

**The position**

The Procurement Officer is responsible for purchasing and procurement within the business dealing with local and international suppliers in the art and craft industry. This role will require you to ensure inventory is available when required and will require detailed data analysis and strong excel skills to meet business demands and improve supplier performance and DIFOT.

**What’s involved**

Inventory and manufacturing Requirement forecasting
Responsibility for the procurement process from purchase order to delivery
Co-ordinate and monitor shipping, customs, freight and delivery of goods
Ensure all supplier orders are delivered on time
Communicate with local and international suppliers
Ensure optimal holding of inventory
Maintaining supplier and product master data
Report, monitor and improve supplier performance, including DIFOT
Report, monitor and improve inventory performance, including forecast accuracy, landed cost variance reporting, stock turns
Identify and improve procurement processes to drive business performance

**Skills & Attributes**

Strong analytical and excel skills
A business degree is preferred with a Major in supply chain or Commerce
Experience in a wholesale/importing business will be valued
Supply chain and strategic sourcing knowledge valued
Advanced Data Driven analytical skills essential
Strong attention to detail
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong work ethic - working independently and within a team
