The Opportunity

Our full name is Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, but our friends call us INDRO A unique opportunity to join the collaborative and high performing operations team.

The Facilities Manager will provide leadership within the Operations Team and centre frontline teams, supporting the Operations Manager with the delivery of the centre business plan, key contract management and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and compliance requirements are met.

You will make an impact by:
Operations & Maintenance Management
- Oversee procurement and contracting within operations, adhering to DEXUS guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure the maintenance and compliance of building systems, contractors, and services.
- Support the Operations Manager in maintaining compliant essential services and systems.
- Track performance against budgets, report variances, risks, and opportunities, and monitor energy consumption.
- Develop procurement strategies for expiring contracts.
- Ensure contractor performance meets industry standards and manage site access/permit requirements.

Sustainability & Efficiency
- Align operational services with effectiveness and sustainability goals, managing environmental audit findings and implementing improvements.
- Identify and deliver ESG initiatives aligned to Centre strategy

Capital Works & Project Delivery
- Assist in Capital Expenditure budgeting and 10-year forecasts.
- Support and document capital project delivery, ensuring compliance and reporting progress.

About You

You are a passionate and collaborative Retail Facilities Manager, with a minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Retail Facilities Management. You understand the importance of being flexible, customer centric and team first in approach. You will bring:

- Retail Facilities Management or Building Services experience.
- Contract and relationship management experience.
- Financial management and budget tracking experience.
- Strong administration and communication skills.
- Sound problem solving ability.
- Demonstrated experience in managing in a multi-functional technical services delivery environment.
- Soft services delivery in retail/property management.
- Knowledge of building systems and financial acumen.
- Risk management in property environments.
- Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and meet deadlines.
- Action-oriented and outcome focused.
- Capable of taking charge and providing direction to soft service contractors.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels.
