Western Suburbs State Special School seeks to provide an educational environment which will support students in gaining the necessary skills and confidence to engage happily in the community.
**You will have responsibility for the following**:

- Schoolwide PBL
- Provide teacher professional development and resources to support them to deliver weekly PBL lessons
- Develop individualised strategies to improve student performance
- Collaborate with HODS and Sector Leaders to share information and strategies for success

**People and Pedagogy**:

- Support staff, students and parents by encouraging development of a positive and inclusive learning environment within and beyond the classroom
- Build productive relationships with parents and engage them to support student learning
- Build capacity of teachers to promote an understanding of PBL/wellbeing
- Engage in collegial observations and feedback
- Visit classes on a formal and informal basis
- Formulate proactive plans for student performance in consultation with stakeholders
- Investigate high level behaviour incidents
- Collaborate with DP complex case students

**Data and Reporting**:

- Identify and analyse PBL data to inform support required, strategic planning, student case management and referrals.
- Communication of insights and information from data analysis to Tier 1 PBL Meeting.
- Support and implement PBL ideals and respond to PBL data.
- Assist transition of students by facilitating composition of classes for following year
