About Algester State School
Located in a south western suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Algester State School is a co-educational government, primary school with around 1,000 students. Our doors opened in 1977 and since then we have been a vital part of the local community.Creating Futures Together is our school motto and has been an impetus for us to grow and develop digital pedagogies to deliver 21st Century learning. About the Role
Algester State School is looking for a new Head of Special Education Services to join our Leadership Team.As the Head of Special Education Services, you will have an Equity and Excellence lens when leading your portfolio to:
- Lead the school Inclusion Portfolio, develop teachers, students and stakeholders to articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Be an active participant in life-long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
You will closely collaborate with the Principal, Deputy Principals, Heads of Department (Curriculum) and Guidance Officer.
