**About the Role**:
This is a full time ongoing position within the Cardiology Department of the Royal Children's Hospital.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who is keen to share their knowledge for the advancement of our clinical program and to contribute positively to the departmental culture in a world leading paediatric Cardiology centre. In addition to your primary role, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision when required (dependant on experience and knowledge), but also be afforded the opportunities for continuing professional development.

The primary role involves working in our busy paediatric Echocardiography Laboratory undertaking specific duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

- Performing detailed paediatric cardiac ultrasound examinations of the highest quality
- Completion of a detailed and accurate preliminary report resulting from the examination
- The opportunity to assist/conduct 3D cardiac ultrasounds, transoesophageal echocardiography, contrast studies, strain/strain rate imaging
- Provide hands on training to Cardiac Physiologists new to the field of echocardiography, and also to Cardiology Fellows commencing their Fellowship
- Participate in a variety of research studies

**Your Skills and Experience**:

- A Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a health science discipline
- Be registered with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) as an Accredited Medical Sonographer, with current enrolment in a certified CPD program
- An ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- An understanding of the need to deliver high quality care to our paediatric patients and their families
