- This entry level position offers an opportunity for suitably qualified personnel to train and develop skills as a Cardiac Physiologist, supported by specialised Cardiac Rhythm and Echocardiography Cardiac Physiologists. This position is supported by an education program and gives you an opportunity to develop skills within a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a friendly and supportive team environment.

The Cardiac Diagnostic Service at Western Health supports inpatient and outpatient services across both Footscray and Sunshine hospitals. Each site has a Cardiac Care Unit, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories and an Intensive Care Unit. The Cardiac Diagnostic Service supports these services at both sites. Planning for expansion of Cardiology services in the New Footscray Hospital provides opportunities for career advancement and professional growth within the Cardiac Diagnostic Service.

The Cardiac Physiologist team perform and support acute and elective, inpatient and outpatient investigations across both Sunshine and Footscray campuses including Cardiac Cath Lab, Ambulatory Blood pressure, ECG monitor analysis, assistance and support of echocardiogram stress testing and transoesophageal procedures.

**Duties**

The Cardiac Physiologist supports and performs elective and acute inpatient and outpatient investigations including:

- 12 Lead Electrocardiograms
- Cardiac Cath Lab monitoring
- Assists with Cardiac Echo Stress Testing
- Assists with transoesophageal echo procedures

**Skills & Experience**
- Successful completion of a post graduate bachelor of science or applied science degree
- Previous Cardiac Physiologist experience in Holter monitor interpretation and Cardiac Catheterisation Monitoring preferred
- Demonstrated completion of ECG or equivalent course.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
