As a Field Research Officer at Roy Morgan, you will be working on one or many of our research projects. This means that you will be working in and around your community interviewing people on some of Australia’s most important research projects. Our field team are responsible for undertaking professional and accurate data collection (including observations and interviewing) of the public with neutrality. Of course, there is some administration as well to ensure all the records are accurate and up to date. We provide extensive training and support for all our staff as well as the necessary equipment to get the work done.

We currently have an opportunity to work on an important visitor survey at the Launceston Airport’s Departure Lounge and you’ll be conducting interviews with travellers, working shifts between 2-3 hours. Most shifts are during business hours, yet there are some early morning and late-night shifts. This is a seasonal role, offering 3-4 shifts per month, though work is not guaranteed.

You need to be comfortable engaging with people from all walks of life - both in helping them understand the importance and benefits of participating in research studies. You will be able to enjoy the flexibility of working independently and managing your own workload. The more flexible you are to work, the more work we have for you

- Are professional, with a high level of integrity and possess mature social skills
- Hold a valid driver’s licence, and access to a reliable, registered vehicle
- Have fluent English language proficiency (spoken and written English)
