**About the role**:
A Permanent Part-time role supporting residents living and accessing at our sites and services in Bendigo, based at Uniting AgeWell Strath-Haven. Utilising your diverse trade skillset, you will work closely with Uniting AgeWell's different departments to deliver effective and timely maintenance services.
- Contribute to resident’s quality of life and well being through the provision of quality maintenance services
- Monitor and maintain internal and external living environments for residents including furniture, equipment, lighting, temperature, noise, safety and security
- Ensure that resident’s privacy and dignity are respected during maintenance procedures involving their personal space or belongings
- Permanent part-time set roster Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays working 8am-4pm, with availability for on-call duties
- Based in Bendigo with some requirement to attend other Uniting AgeWell sites and services in the area

- Trade qualifications or some experience with Handyman work
- Strong management and communication skills
- Capability and an understanding of and ability to support compliance with Aged Care Standards, OH & S, and other legislative requirements related to role and responsibilities
- Capability and an ability to maintain records and stock control
- Ability to liaise with Maintenance Contractors and Suppliers
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

**Essentials for working in Aged Care**:

- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a national police clearance
