Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Officer at Forest Lake Lodge, will assist in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. Your attention to detail and expertise in accounting will support the smooth operation of our facility's financial processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Manage payroll and ensure accurate processing of employee wages and benefits.
Monitor and review financial transactions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audits as needed.
Handle financial inquiries from staff, residents, and external stakeholders.
Support the development and implementation of financial systems and procedures.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Certificate III in Accounts Administration.
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or Diploma of Accounting (desirable).
**Skills and Experience**
- At least two (2) years’ experience in similar role, preferably in the aged care sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., HR3, SAP), time and attendance software (Humanforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
