**The Role**

The Sourcing Consultant is an influential role that sits within the Origin Procurement Team. The incumbent provides demonstrable knowledge, experience, and expertise within the Procurement & Supply Chain discipline as well as to stakeholders across all Origin business units to deliver Origin’s Purpose, guided by Origin’s Values.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Responsibility for delivery of Procurement business processes and performance outcomes.
- Contribute to strategy design and goal setting to support aspiration statement of Procurement and Origin’s energy transition.
- Develop alliances and relationships across Origin, with key suppliers and leading industry groups.
- Communicating, collaborating, influencing others and, positively changing team and business behaviours and/or motivation.
- Support for the development of the roles for the functional team and its capability
- Assist in the development and delivery of team capability and culture.
- Support to strategies for all team functions and contribute to the implementation within own team.
- Contribute to functional frameworks and processes and work across Origin to achieve consistency and alignment across the business.
- Assist in developing team productivity and supporting personal and professional development.
- Evaluate solutions to improve and sustain strategic, process safety and financial performance outcomes.
- Assist in developing Procurement’s cross-team capabilities that identify, measure, record, mitigate and / or eliminate significant risks in process.
- Model behaviours which are consistently recognisable as being aligned to Origin’s values and Behaviours.
- Contribute to the delivery of Procurement’s Strategy in conjunction with other corporate functions.
- Contribute to the compliance and alignment with Corporate policies and procedures, including Emergency Response, Media Response and Crisis Management procedures

**About you**
- Minimum **5-7 years’ experience within a Procurement** or Commercial team.
- Demonstrable **understanding of IT Professional Services** contracting, software licensing and hardware procurement.
- **Significant IT procurement experience** ideally in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Previous experience working on complex IT projects (with **divestment experience highly desirable**).
- Demonstrable commercial and business acumen, showing an appreciation for factors that will influence outcomes as well as an appreciation for potential risks and possible mitigants.
- Demonstrable experience negotiating large contracts and managing a broad portfolio of suppliers and services.
- Outstanding supplier engagement skills.
- Demonstrable influencing skills to drive a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Setting ambitious standards of performance for self and assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks.
- Exceptional at establishing relationships, and relationship management skills demonstrated at all levels within and across teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and orally, with a wide range of personnel at all levels of the organisation internally and externally to the organisation.
