Role intro paragraph / elevator pitch

**This role will focus on**:
Overall purpose of job
- Your role is to help Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) sales staff, customers and distributors to place, process and fulfill sales orders.
- Purchase order processing and management.
- Talking to customers regarding pricing enquiries.
- Taking orders on the phone.
- Processing and production of invoices
- Production of any relevant documentation to assist with the above.
- Assisting the accounts department with receivable and payable as required.
- To help and provide assistance to other departments as required.
- To provide support to the field sales engineers when required.
- Other duties as required

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Liaising with customers and the sales team to process orders and invoices.
- To provide customers and potential customers with accurate information on spares and price enquiries.
- To handle orders as per departmental procedures, including liaison with other departments, suppliers and customers as necessary.
- Progressing invoice payment as required.
- Ensure all associated files both electronic and hard copy are kept up to date.
- To participate in the smooth day to day running of the Internal Sales department and to work with others as necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- Able to communicate and foster relationships with customers and colleagues
- An excellent phone manner
- Prioritising workload
- Working in a largely unsupervised manner
- Working within procedural guidelines in a methodical manner
- Exposure to ERP system (AX preferred).
- Computer literate, able to create correspondence in Word and Excel.
