Field Service Technician

Our core values are a statement of intent about the type of business we strive to be and describe the way we work and how we interact with each other, our customers and our partners: Think like a customer Focus on what matters Do great things together Be smart, stay curious Find out more about your new workplace **here** **This role is integral in delivering Field Services in an efficient manner throughout the South Melbourne region.** As a Vix Engineer you will work within a large team of other Service Technicians on a “4 days on / 4 days off” roster cycle to ensure customer requirements with respect to service delivery, time and quality are met. All tools, PPE and equipment will be provided. For technicians outside of CBD, a van will be provided. **This position is rostered 365 days per year, with a 4x4 roster pattern that is staged at 0630 - 1730 hours and 0930 - 2030 hours.** **What will you be responsible for?** - Maintaining and repairing a range of Ticketing Equipment "In Field" in a professional and reliable manner - Conducting site based preventative maintenance as prescribed by the manufacturer's specification, which includes thoroughly internal and external cleaning, and removing rust - Performing to designated goals of response time, turn-around-time, repair rate and customer expectations - Be willing to learn new skills and adapt to a changing technological environment - Maintain and develop positive working relationships with our client, contractors, colleagues, and the public - Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety procedures and safe work practices - Computer literate, experience using Ticket logging and recording - Basic Networking skills (Must be willing to develop these skills) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail - Ability to work effectively as part of the team with accountability for business results - Must be self-motivated & able to work unsupervised for long periods of time - A Victorian Manual Driver's license - A standard level of fitness in order to walk from and around locations as required - Long term eligibility to work in Australia (PR or Citizen) **_Please note: as part of the onboarding process for successful applicants a pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol screening) and police certificate will be requested, at Vix Technology's expense. - ** **What's In It For You?** Besides the opportunity to work for a global company that is customer and people focused.
