**Position overview**

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Australian National University, working within the busy Remuneration and Conditions Branch of the Division of Shared Services. The Division of Shared Services is committed to not only delivering the best possible services to the ANU community now, but looking at how we can improve our services through customer focus, innovation and automation. This position is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to be part of our journey

Working closely with the Payroll Manager, this position will provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team and will assist to provide timely customer focused payroll support to the ANU community. The Payroll team are responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of day-to-day processing of payroll, superannuation and taxation matters for all staff at the Australian National University by working collaboratively with staff across the Division, College based HR personnel and directly with employees of the University.
- The Payroll Team Leader oversees the day-to-day operations of the wider Remuneration and Conditions team; consistently providing high quality services and advice on payroll, superannuation and taxation and ensuring the fortnightly payroll cycle is completed to a high standard.
- In this role you will build and maintain respectful working relationships with staff within the Shared Services Division and across the University, and in particular, work closely with staff in the Recruitment, Provisioning and HR Systems Teams.

In addition this role will lead the way with suggesting service improvements that will benefit the team and the whole community.
