We are partnered with a well-known Facility Management company for the recruitment of a new Building Maintenance Officer.

This role is an ongoing contract position that you can make your own. You'll be based right in the heart of the Perth CBD, right near the Perth underground train station, and close to the best coffee shops, restaurants and retail shops.

You'll work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start/finish times.

This position provides Maintenance support for a particular building in Perth. You'll report to the Facility Manager, and be responsible for all 1st level enquiries for all facility and building maintenance issues. You'll receive enquiries/tickets via an online system, and then investigate the issue within the building. The solution could be as easy as fixing it yourself, or if it's a bit more involved, getting a 3rd party contractor to come in to do the job.

Overall, you'll be responsible for:

- 1st point of contact for all Building and Facility requests
- Investigating building issues - fixing the easy stuff, or calling a contractor to come in to fix bigger issues
- General running of the building - receiving mail, milk, paper deliveries to the building.
- General admin/computer work
- Some general adhoc duties as required - this team all chip in to get stuff done.

To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have:

- A trades background (ideally) - whether that's plumbing, carpentry or electrical - all are suitable
- If not formally trade qualified, then you'll be good on the tools in general.
- Ability to work full time hours - Monday to Friday
