**Finance Officer**

**Your new company**
Our client based in Perth is looking for a Finance Officer for a temporary period. This is a great opportunity to work within a government department.

**Your new role**
During this role you will be required to:

- Establish, maintain, and reconcile transactions to the general ledger for TABS.
- Ensure data is entered into the financial systems for administered items.
- Support the Management Accountant with cash flow management
- Support the Accounts and Administration officers with bank reconciliation investigation of errors, correction and balancing of discrepancies, and General Ledger adjustments
- Ensures allocation of revenue receipts, and processing of funding appropriation to agencies for payments of administered grants and subsidies.
- Prepares and processes journal adjustments to reallocate and reconcile transaction entries as required
- Maintain reconciliation and audit records for transactions of the General Accounts Sections
- Transmits Electronic Funds Transfer files to the Government banking provider
- Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Incurs expenditure on behalf of the Department as appropriate and in accordance with the Financial Management Act 2006 and Treasurer’s Instructions
- Maintains financial files and records
- Any other duties as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
Experience in the similar position required but also:

- Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain financial administrative, information and record management systems.
- Experience liaising with internal and externals stakeholders
- Ability to work in a team
