Chelgrave Contracting are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to join our team. As an HSE Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices. You will work closely with management, employees, and external stakeholders to promote a safe and healthy work environment and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential HSE hazards and assess the effectiveness of existing programs and controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and monitor HSE performance metrics and goals, and report on progress to senior management.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to employees and contractors on HSE matters, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response procedures.
Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis and develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to address identified issues.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, inspections, permits, and regulatory filings.
Stay current with changes in HSE regulations and industry trends, and proactively advise management on potential impacts to the company's operations.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and contractors.
Support the QHSE Manager with Work Cover Claims and Return to Work programs.
**About you**:
Cert IV in Work Health & Safety
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE coordination, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices, with a track record of successful implementation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop practical solutions.
Mechanical/Electrical Trade background desirable but not essential.
