**About the role**:
Reporting to the HSE General Manager, this position is responsible for leading, facilitating and implementing DON’s Safety, Health & Environment program including injury management and emergency management programs.
The success of the Business Partner will be their ability to partner with the stream operational teams to guide, coach and assist the stream along on its HSE journey.
The role is responsible for reinforcing the HSE strategy at stream level, driving improved performance by identifying trends, analysing statistics, and collaborating with operational teams with the purpose of identifying and addressing safety, health and environmental risks.
The role will also provide HSE leadership and model best HSE practices to enable the operational teams to improve their HSE performance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Facilitate health and safety activities to educate, influence and embed a strong safety culture among the team leaders and people to achieve the most effective outcome.
- Work with the Business Leaders and Don HSE Manager to implement the Don Smallgoods safety program that focuses on behavioural changes at all levels
- Develop, implement & monitor procedures and policies across the site/s to maintain adherence to Groups audit criteria policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance across the site/s for Health, Safety, Environment and Workers Compensation acts, regulations, codes of practice and applicable Australian and New Zealand standards.
- Provide the team with technical and practical HS&E advice.

**About you**:
- Tertiary qualifications of certificate 4 in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role with formal HS&E qualifications desirable
- Effective communication skills to enable stakeholder engagement and influencing.
- Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability to be able to provide insight and quickly identify a way forward when presented with issues.
- Process improvement mindset with proven experience in identifying and deploying process improvements.
- Change management resilience with the ability to positively support and encourage others through change
