**Role**:

- The applicant is required to provide instrumental instructions on percussion instruments.
- The successful applicant must be able to instruct and demonstrate the instruments at all levels from beginning to VCE and be versed in a range of styles, contemporary and traditional.
- The College requires all instrumental music staff to demonstrate a high level of competency in instructing instruments in groups.

**Responsibilities**:

- The responsibilities of an Instrumental Music instructor may include but is not limited to:

- Direct instructing of percussion instruments to groups of students and individual students;
- Rehearse and contribute to concert band(s).
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Music curriculum area within the school;
- Undertaking other related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
- Participating in such activities as parent/teacher meetings: staff meetings, concerts, camps and excursions;
- Complying with the timetable and professional ethos of the school;
- Creating a positive environment conducive to learning for the students of whom he or she is in charge in line with the school's well-being and pastoral care policies
