Krispy Kreme is in the business of happiness. Our Production Managers proactively manage Krispy Kreme’s Sites as if they were their own business, take charge of their Site and consistently meet and exceed their performance standards.
Production Managers inspire their teams to provide the best quality doughnuts possible, maximise their team’s performance by ensuring they participate in appropriate learning & development activities to contribute to the success of the Site and grow as individuals.
Production Managers coach and mentor their Assistant Site Managers and Team Leaders to create a fun and authentic workplace focused on delivering delicious doughnuts while ensuring the Site continues to operate to its best when they are absent.
**The Role**
As a Production Manager you will be responsible for;
- Maintaining a safe and healthy workplace at all times and proactively eliminating and managing potential safety issues.
- Actively managing the Site budget and expenses.
- Ensuring shift metrics and KPI targets are met.
- Drive the DDS (Daily Directional Setting) culture at your site, led by your team.
- Creating rosters in line with business need and in line with Site labour budget.
- Prompting, acknowledging and responding to others’ ideas, experience and opinions
- Coordinating Site maintenance issues with the Engineering team, ensuring resolution.
- Providing meaningful feedback to stakeholders on the quality of product and services provided to your site.
- Addressing issues with Team Members as they arise throughout the day, including providing feedback.
- Holding Team and one-on-one briefings with your Team at appropriate times.
- Working with your team to meet manufacturing targets and maintain quality while also improving operational excellence & the Customer experience.
- Identifying creative ways to grow and maximise your Site’s performance and improve systems & processes.
- Working with your team to address business challenges through creating and implementing action plans in line with operational and capex budgets.
- Communicating company and Site policies, processes and systems to your team and ensuring compliance with them.
- Building and sustaining a cooperative and supportive team environment, with a clear succession plan.
- Contributing to Krispy Kreme through providing feedback and insights into best practice.
- Completing and submitting regular and ad-hoc reports to the State Manufacturing Manager.
- Recruiting and retaining the right people in line with the business needs of your Site.
- Partner with the State Manufacturing Manager identify efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Lead by example in improving service levels to both internal and external customers
**What you can bring to the team**
We firmly believe in hiring for cultural contribution and training for skills, however there are some things we need from you:
- Minimum 5 years experience in food handling or manufacturing
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a relevant industry
- A demonstrated ability to manage a high quality, customer service focused, outcome driven, small to medium business.
- A practical understanding of budgeting, forecasting, labour, and materials management
- A comprehensive understanding of the requirements of superior Customer Service
- Integrity and a commitment to ethical operations.
- The ability to lead and motivate others to achieve the best outcomes for themselves, their team and Krispy Kreme.
- An understanding of training processes and how to effectively train others in the workplace.
- Confidence, passion and enthusiasm about the customer experience and the Krispy Kreme Brand.
- The ability to demonstrate leadership in WHS in the workplace.
- An understanding of the importance of WHS in the workplace
- Food manufacture in HACCP environment ideally in the Bakery Industry
- Experienced in managing workforce and middle managers
- Experienced in inventory control and warehouse management
- Hands on experience in ERP systems, preferably Oracle Micros and RITEQ
- Equipment trouble shooting capabilities, etc.
- Commitment to working with a culturally diverse workforce
