The Role
The Senior Product Developer blends LSKD's vision, values, and creative direction with innovative, intentional designs to build premium products. You will be responsible for driving the development of our product range for your assigned product category, and will work closely with our creative direction, designers and merchandise team to meet our strategy targets and "Go-to-market" calendar.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
•
Follow the LSKD operating principles including Design and Production, and 1% Better
•
Be Hungry, Humble Smart; and lead the brand with integrity
•
Collaborate with Creative Direction to understand LSKD's product vision and community needs
•
Collaborate merchandise teams to build your categories ranges through creative concepts and design
•
Generate creative ideas for new products, features, and enhancements that align with the Creative Direction and community insights
•
Apply market research, trend analysis and product testing insights into the development of our product ranges
•
Translate conceptual designs into actionable plans, considering factors such as materials, functionality, and cost
•
Oversee the prototyping and testing process, working closely with our partners, and internal teams to create samples and prototypes
•
Create and adjust product specifications, considering technical pattern making throughout the development process
•
Maintain and update technical sketches and Bill of MaterialsConduct product testing and validation to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with standards.
•
As a Senior Product Developer, you will educate and mentor the team to ensure a deep understanding of product requirements and foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and excellence.
•
Source and manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners
•
Monitor lead times, and production schedules to improve cost-effectiveness and efficiency
•
Implement quality assurance processes and standards to maintain product integrity and meet customer expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues throughout the development lifecycle
•
Provide regular updates and reports to the team on project status, milestones, and key metrics
Essential Skills / Experience
•
Strong background with activewear fabrics is highly preferred/desirable
•
Proven track record in the field, offering insights and ideas on how a progressive production team can continue to challenge the norm
•
In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques
•
Solid understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
•
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms is desirable, including tools such as 3clicks, Style Arcade, Shopify, and Asana
•
Passionate about and deeply connected to the LSKD community, brand mission, and values
•
Proactively seeks new learning opportunities and stays current to maintain expertise in their field
•
Effective communicator who conveys information and ideas clearly, appropriately, and with focus
•
Ability to hit deadlines and work that extra mile to get the job done on time
