As the steward of the early childhood development system, the Office will act on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with the sector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmental vulnerability.
This includes strategy for the provision of quality preschool for all three and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000 days of a child’s life and implementing a workforce strategy.
**About the Role**:
The ASO6 Funding and Monitoring Officer will support the development of new standardised funding agreements for non-government preschool providers that are compliant with relevant state government legislative and policy requirements. Key responsibilities include monitoring and evaluation of providers’ performance against key performance indicators, targets and deliverables, undertaking data analysis, addressing data quality issues, maintaining systems for data collection, and undertaking quality assurance processes. This role works closely with the Senior Funding and Monitoring Officer to support the Office for Early Childhood Development in its stewardship of preschool funding arrangements.

**Capabilities and experience you will bring**:
- Knowledge of data management and manipulation, as well as expertise in qualitative and quantitative research design methods and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver high quality documents, reports and presentations to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate under broad direction, exercise judgement, initiative, and delegated authority whilst managing high volumes of complex work. Knowledge of the early childhood education sector is highly desirable.

**Remuneration**:
ASO6 $98,478 - 104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
