**About Our Client**:
Our client is a newly created real estate digital media and agent services business comprising a suite of property tech platforms offering consumer and business solutions in Australia’s $300 billion real estate transactional market. Our client will form a global-first conglomerate of property tech assets including portals, ad tech, lead generation, lead management solutions, media planning and buying, AI services, data and connections all under the one roof.

**About The Role**:
Our client is currently seeking a Financial Reporting manager on a contract basis with a strong background in auditing for a unique, short-term assignment with an opportunity to extend or become full-time. The role requires availability for an
**immediate start.**

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports for multiple entities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards in anticipation of our inaugural audit.
- Conduct consolidation of multiple entities’ financial statements including reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and elimination entries.
- Collaborate closely with the auditing team to understand, document, and communicate financial information. This will involve setting up systems, processes, and documentation for the first-time audit.
- Draft technical accounting papers on various financial and accounting topics (including Employee Share Option Plan & Convertible Notes), effectively translating complex financial concepts into clear, concise, and comprehensive narratives.
- Assist in the development of audit strategies, planning, and execution, as well as improvement of financial reporting processes and implementation of new accounting standards as required.
- Work on special projects as needed.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CA, CPA or equivalent.

**Desired Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in facilitating audits, and thorough understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
- Ability to present and communicate confidently.
- Exceptional attention to detail critical in preparation and reviewing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to partner effectively with the business and develop relationships at all organizational levels.
- A deadline driven, self-directed nature, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and balance competing priorities independently.
- Experience with Xero accounting software preferred but not essential.
