**Job Opportunity**:
We are seeking an individual who is intelligent, passionate, and always striving towards excellence. Whilst a background in either General Property / Equipment Floater risks or Contractors Plant & Equipment is preferable, if you have experience as a broker, in motor underwriting, loss adjusting or deep knowledge of heavy machinery or mobile equipment and are looking to build a career in Underwriting we would love to discuss this opportunity with you

Our expectations are for the teammate to be able to develop new products and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels and discipline. You should be comfortable working closely and collaboratively with teammates within your team and across functional areas.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Support our program partners and take the lead in developing strategy for engagement, growth and profitability.
- Developing open-market business with a focus on Victoria for General Property / Equipment Floater and Contractors Plant & Equipment, focused on acquisition of new business as well as retention of renewal business and key accounts.
- Establishing, developing, and expanding broker and customer relationships.
- Contributing towards the growth of Marine lines business focusing on profitable growth of Inland Marine business.
- Underwrite New Business, Renewals and Endorsements while ensuring appropriate analysis and documentation.
- Promote other marine product lines and services to increase penetration in market.
- Cross-Sell other lines of business to increase the BHSI product density with the account.
- Conduct internal self-audits.
- Contribute to the development or modification of policy coverage.
- Development of new projects.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- Experience and ability in developing both new and existing broker and customer relationships is critical.
- Strong communication skills including negotiation, communication, and presentation experience.
- Strong collaboration and team building skills.
- Underwriting experience is preferable; particularly knowledge and understanding of either General Property/Equipment Floater, Motor, or Contractors’ Plant & Equipment risks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Supplementary Pay:

- Performance bonus
