**About the Role: As the Principal Portfolio Officer, you will**:

- Coordinate and contribute to scoping activities for new ICT initiatives and the preparation of artefacts such as Problem Definition, Investment Logic Map, Business Case, Assurance and Governance.
- Provide guidance and direction to stakeholders on specific issues relating to the ICT Portfolio Office's assigned areas of responsibility to develop a shared understanding of ICT Portfolio management objectives.
- Undertake Portfolio Definition activities to understand, categorise, prioritise, balance and plan the investment in ICT initiatives (programs, projects and activities).
- Provide assistance to ICT initiatives in the implementation of the Portfolio Delivery management practices of management control, benefits management, financial management, risk management, stakeholder engagement, organisational governance and resource management.
- Monitor and report on ICT initiatives in the ICT Portfolio Plan against investment, governance requirements, progress and achievements, benefits realisation and contribution to strategic and digital objectives.
- Prepare submissions, reports, briefing material, correspondence and communications for department and government communities, stakeholders and committees.
