**About the Role**
Are you ready to lead the transformation of how space is used across a dynamic, multi-campus university? Swinburne is seeking a strategic and solutions-focused Space Planner to drive smarter, more efficient use of our physical environments. In this pivotal role, you’ll manage day-to-day space requests, lead data-driven planning initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders across academic, research, and operational teams.
You’ll bring a sharp analytical mindset, strong project management skills, and a flair for turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. From developing functional briefs to overseeing space audits and system improvements, your work will directly influence how our campuses support learning, research, and innovation.

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:?
- Demonstrated experience and proven track record in one or more areas relating to architecture, project documentation, property, space management, project management or other.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Excel including v-lookup and other analytical methods, Autocad (or like), Cadcorp Spatial Information System (preferred), Archibus (preferred) to develop timely and considered quality space management and asset solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to think flexibly, creatively and quickly under pressure having regard for knowledge of and compliance with frameworks such as Building and Design Codes/Standards as well as the university’s strategic priorities and frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, engagement and effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently under broad direction as well as part of a team, both internally and across university teams.
**Qualifications**
- An appropriate tertiary or professional institute qualification including a Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Facilities Management or Environmental Design;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in space planning, facilities management, architectural design, or a related area; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
