Purchasing Officer

We are seeking a capable Purchasing Officer to work in with our Operations team to coordinate and execute all procurement activities.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Procurement of all required parts and consumables
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Maximise supply chain resilience and redundancy to reduce disruption, including sourcing alternative suppliers/inventory
- Monitor and optimise stock levels of critical parts and consumables to avoid outages and excess inventory
- Follow-up suppliers as required to ensure parts are received in time for production start
- Oversee incoming goods and stock control systems
- Continually identify potential delays in supply chain and resolve
- Assist with planning and execution of stock control revamp following factory extension
- Constantly improve and devise system improvements to increase efficiency and prevent reoccurrence of avoidable delays/issues
**Attributes/Skills required**
- Previous experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably for manufacturing
- Electrical industry knowledge valuable
- Fast-paced, proactive and driven
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Creative problem solver
- Very high attention to detail
- Tidy and organised
