We’re currently on the lookout for an experienced Transport Manager for our NSW region.
**Key focus & responsibilities**:
This role is responsible for supporting the execution of the Stramit transport strategy, to be developed by the National Logistics Manager and National Transport Manager, supporting the business with integrated freight solutions and directing capability to allow effective commercialization of products and Chain of Responsibility (COR) compliance.
The role will be pivotal to engage and influence stakeholders across all functions, external freight providers continued business transformation through improvements in service delivery levels, achieving KPI’s and delivering service excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement a culture of improvement, including re-engineering and driving change.
- Identify cost-effective, freight solutions that will improve customer outcomes and allow for better transparency of information across the business.
- Ensure freight solutions and processes deliver service excellence across the business and this is reflected in customer outcomes
- Develop, coordinate and ensure delivery of key learning tools to ensure staff (internal and external) understand all processes and systems that interact with the delivery of customer service and order fulfilment

We are on the lookout for;
- A minimum of 5 years supply chain management experience gained in a complex, customer focused multi-site manufacturing and logistic environments that can operate up to 24 hours per day (preferred)
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex 3PL transport provider (contracts) and / or in-house transport solutions, attaining the lowest sustainable cost position(s)
- Applied knowledge of continuous improvement, using analytics in a supply chain environment.
- Transport and network optimisation experience
- Freight tender evaluation experience
- Managing to contractual obligations experience
- Experience in developing, managing, and influencing tactical supplier/s
