Compliance Advisor

ING has just won ‘Australia’s best bank’ for the 3rd year running and we’re on the hunt for a **Compliance Advisor - Consumer Credit** to join our dynamic Conduct, Compliance and Culture team.
As ING’s **Compliance Advisor**, you’ll provide end-to-end compliance advice, validation, challenge and support to senior stakeholders, predominantly covering retail credit products and services (e.g. credit cards, personal loans and mortgages). This will also extend to providing, where required, compliance support for other retail banking portfolios such as daily banking, wealth and breach assessments within the Conduct, Compliance and Culture team.
You’ll love this role if enjoy being the SME using your compliance expertise to be called in to support the business in everything from product reviews, to product development, new product launches, regulatory change implementation and everything in between. You’ll also support the Conduct, Compliance and Culture team in maintaining a best practice compliance framework, and enhancing systems and processes to ensure that ING is compliant by desire and design.

**What are you going to do? You will be**
- Working closely with and assist Team Lead - Conduct, Compliance and Culture and other Compliance Managers to drive the efforts by each business unit to remain compliant with applicable laws, industry standards and internal policy
- Ensuring all our regulatory and business compliance reporting requirements are met
- Managing the timely preparation of breach and incident reporting when and where applicable
- Assisting in ensuring that all compliance breach assessments are prepared with clarity and sufficient detail to effectively and adequately document the issues, potential breaches, evidentiary and factual rationale in support of the assessment
- Ensuring advice, challenge, validation, and support provided are consistent with applicable laws, regulations, standards and policy requirements
- Conducting targeted compliance risk and policy reviews and implement any necessary changes in the framework
**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- Knowledge of Australian legal, regulatory and industry code obligations relevant to credit products and services (home/business loans, personal loans, and credit cards)
- Minimum 3 years compliance experience in the financial services industry with at least 1 year of dedicated compliance advisory experience, specifically in relation to credit products and services
- Ability to understand and research compliance and legal issues
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully negotiate and deal with change
- Strong analytical skills - ability to proactively identify issues quickly and provide business orientated solutions
- Ability to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner Policy and procedure development
