**Role purpose**

The Team Leader, McAuley House Footscray (MHF) leads a team of Residential Support Workers and Case Managers in the provision of accommodation and holistic homelessness support and case management, to women who are homeless and/or at risk of homelessness.

**This is a **_Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week - 1.0 EFT)_** opportunity based in Footscray within our Community Services program. The position reports to the Manager, Homelessness Services.**

**Key Selection Criteria**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience leading a team to work with women facing a range of systematic complex challenges in accessing holistic support in relation to their experiences of homelessness, family violence, health and mental health, drug and alcohol use, trauma, and marginalisation.
- Understanding of and alignment to McAuley’s values and the frameworks of feminism, intersectionality, and anti-oppression as both practice and organisational culture foundations.**Role Objectives**

The Team Leader, MHF will support staff to:

- Upon intake, undertake person-centered assessments, identifying immediate safety and support needs of clients.
- Work collaboratively with clients to develop appropriate goal orientated support plans, that are strength based, solution focused, empowering and achievable.
- Provide motivation for clients in reaching their goals and improving their well-being and self-efficacy.
- Assist clients to navigate the housing system to secure longer term housing options.
- Provide trauma informed community mental health and recovery support and interventions.
- Provide family violence support including risk assessments and support, using the MARAM framework. Where necessary work collaboratively or consult with McAuley’s specialist Family Violence team.
